Back again with another album full of twangy goodness, Mike Detmer has re-emerged with a cast of characters that includes Jonathan Williams, William Ryan Fletcher, Travis Talbert, and Daniel Peterson to continue his journey through twangy home-spun lo-fi folk rock.
Since their inception in the early 2000s, The Spectacular Fantastic have been releasing albums on small regional labels, earning a modest following over the years. Highlights include a top 3 finish in the final 97xposure contest, a CityBeat CEA nomination, and appearances at Midpoint Music Festival, Desdemona, and Forecastle Festival.
Based in the rolling hills of Southeastern Indiana, it’s impossible to separate the dream from reality. Listening to “The Spectacular Fantastic Cracks The Code” feels like drifting into pure pop bliss.
